Boiling Point

Located in the same plaza as Facing East, this is a good place to try if you enjoy spicy food! I ordered their lamb hot pot (which included vermicelli, imitation crab meat, bean curd, enoki mushrooms, tofu, kamaboko, lamb, meatball, egg, and pork blood) in mild and boy, was it HOT – although I must admit my tolerance level is quite low! My lips were seriously on fire in the beginning but the soup base grew on me gradually.

A few tips if you do get a chance to try it out… we noticed you can ask to have your meat on the side so I would highly recommend that since you can cook it at your own pace so it won’t get overcooked! If you decide to select one of the many drinks they offer on their menu, go for one of the fruity slushies/drinks. My husband and I both ordered a tea-based drink and it was not too good!

Total Cost for the Meal:
$35 for two (tax and tips included)
Final Verdict:
At 11.99 a pot, I would definitely head back again. I’ll even give their House Special Hot Pot a try – organic fermented tofu, pork intestine, meat ball, salty veggies, quail egg… need I say more!
